The precaution of using the metal cable gland(1)

1. （metal cable gland)The connection of conductors requires low resistance and sufficient mechanical strength, and sharp corners shall not appear at the connection. Crimping is commonly used for medium and low voltage cable conductor connection. Attention shall be paid to crimping:
(1) (metal cable gland)Select the conductor connecting pipe with appropriate conductivity and mechanical strength;
(2) The fit clearance between the inner diameter of the pressure connecting pipe and the outer diameter of the connected wire core is 0.8 ~ 1.4mm;
(3) The resistance value of the crimped joint shall not be greater than 1.2 times that of the conductor with equal section, and the tensile strength of the copper conductor joint shall not be less than 60N / mm2;
(4) Before crimping, the outer surface of the conductor and the inner surface of the connecting pipe shall be coated with conductive adhesive, and the oxide film shall be damaged with a steel wire brush;
(5) Sharp corners and burrs on connecting pipes and core conductors shall be polished smooth with a file or sandpaper.

2. (metal cable gland)Inner semiconductor shielding treatment.
If the cable body has an inner shielding layer, the inner shielding layer of the connector of the crimping pipe conductor must be restored when making the connector, and a part of the inner semiconductor shielding of the cable shall be reserved, so that the inner shielding of the connector on the connecting pipe can be connected with each other, so as to ensure the continuity of the inner semiconductor, so as to evenly distribute the field strength at the connector.
